Unique space to hire for small groups

January 14th, 2012 — 9:10am

Urban Larder has increased its floor space allowing for more seating. This unique and friendly shop is now looking to start holding evening events throughout the cold winter months and beyond if required.

We currently can seat 12 -14 people comfortably with desktop space or up to 14 -20 if tables not needed. Are you a local book club, knitting circle, film club, local community group that are looking to find a new place to meet.

Urban Larder specialises in locally produced food – so if you require soup and bread, Panini’s, ‘Pavitt’s Pies’, finger food, we can work to your requirements.

Why not pop in to view the space and talk through your ideas. The Urban Larder will be holding chocolate making workshops, for Valentines and Pie and Mash nights in conjunction with Pavitt’s Pies of Cambridge – Acoustic music nights being looked into.

We are open and ready for the New Year!

January 14th, 2012 — 12:12am

We’re  ’made over’ and re-opened and ready for the New Year. With a slight change around, the shop now has more room for eating in, with a bigger kitchen area, you will also find us less stressed! We have an iPod full with great music and soup kettles full of flavoursome hot home-made soups. Lots of new ideas, products and tasty dishes to share. Don’t be cold this winter, come in and enjoy a great atmosphere, good food, music and company. All made locally, supporting locally sourced food – gluten free cakes and bakes too – so spread the word this year.

As an interesting and welcoming venue, we are also exploring some evening events – how does this sound? Pie and Mash nights?  featuring Pavitt’s Pies; The return of the chocolate making workshops, just in time for Valentines. The Urban Larder is open for hire to, book groups, knitting circles, film clubs, small meeting groups – can seat comfortably up to 14 – 16 people. Let’s warm up those winter nights – acoustic nights? Suggestions welcomed, just pop in and share ideas, if we can make them happen then we will.

Let’s keep the ‘Independents’ going – who wants to see another bland high-street, keep it alive! Come and support, share and enjoy something different.
